China has topped the list of medalists in the just concluded 40th Artistic� Gymanstics World championship in Stuttgart (Germany). China won total  eight gold medals with five gold medals,two silver medals and one bronze medal.While USA with second place secured total seven medals, which included four gold medals, two silver medals and one silver medal.
As many as 289 gymnasts from 77 federations in men section while 242 women gymnasts  from 58 federations affiliated to FIG took part in this championship which was held from 1 September to 9 September. 
Other asian countries who won pride of place in this championship were, Korea  which bagged one Gold medal, Japan won five medals  with one silver and four bronze while . DPR korea secured one silver and one bronze medal while Uzbekistan gymnasts won one bronze emdal.
Congratulating the superb performance of the asian nations and particularly the China, the President of the Asian Gymnastics Union Mr. Abdulrahman Al Shathri, said this is indeed creditable on the part of  asian gymnasts who have proved their worth in the  Artistic world championship.
