Carrying the vision 'Gymnastics for everyone-enjoyment and excellence' Gymnastics, Singapore Gymnastics Federation hosted the Inaugural Gymfest on September 15 at the Toa Payoh Sports hall..

The aim of the Gymfest was to promote exercise for everyone. Gymnastics for all encourages people of all ages to participate in performance and explore various forms of movements in a fun and creative way. It helps in making one aware of importance of health and wellness is also enhanced.

The Gymfest was started after several years and hope to make it an annual event from this year onwards.

In this one day event, as many as 350 participants displayed their prowess in 26 different items while the participants age ranged from as small as four years to 70 years. There were also four sessions of mass workouts of different themes.

The Japanese teams of 23 ladies came all the way from Japan and they put up five items The rehearsal was held in the morning and the run through was smooth Lunch was provided for all participants.

The attractive prizes for the participants comprised goody bags comprising one T-shirt , one bottle of Newater and two Milo sachets given to the participants.

The nearly three hour event began at 1440 hours and ended at 1730 hours.
Mr Hawazi Daipi was invited as the Guest of Honour.
